We made it to Panama! My new team and I are living on an island in Bocas. We are staying at a YWAM base. Our ministry is cooking and cleaning for the base and all the teams living here. At first I was not very happy, I wanted to be out doing evangelism and kids ministry but the Lord has been working on me.
I was on a boat going from one island to the next and I was complaining to God. He just gave me this image that at any moment He could open up the sky and reveal Himself to the world. Instead, He continues to work in all areas of our lives and in everyone’s life whether we acknowledge it’s God working or not. Whether we recognize or remember that He’s there; it’s Him. Sometimes He does make Himself known to people in big ways but a lot of His work He chooses to do behind the scenes. If God can work behind the scenes then so can I.
The few times we’ve been able to go into town to the main island, we have had the opportunity to do evangelism and pray with people.
My team and I wanted to do more during the time in between cooking meals; we decided to pray for Muslims all over the world during Ramadan (which is a Muslim holiday). After lunch every day we get together and we pray for a different country. Prayer is something that also goes unnoticed but is so powerful and needs to happen. Whether you are praying to just have a conversation with God or praying against the enemy in Jesus name. Praying for someone or confessing something to The Lord or just sitting with him. Prayer is beautiful and needs to happen more.
Make time today and pray! I’m not gonna tell you what to pray about; just ask God.
Always enjoy reading your updates!
Love you. Real thankful to have you on my team & get to learn in this together. The Lord is faithful & so so good.
You’re doing good things for people and that’s your gift and a blessing!
Love you

Love reading your updates.
I love that you are open to whatever God has for you even if it’s not what you prefer- it is in those moments that we tend to grow the most, you are a huge blessing to those you are serving. We will see you in a few days – praying for you and your team

Just prayed for you this morning. God reveals Himself to others in so many ways. I have learned that the way I serve Him in my daily life is the biggest way I reveal God to others. Love hearing how God is using your team to reveal Himself.
I’m so thankful that you are staying positive even though things aren’t happening quite as you thought they would. God was speaking to me about prayer today too, so it made me smile to think that prayer was on your heart in that same way today! I will continue to pray for more opportunities to share your faith. There’s nothing wrong with desiring that! 🙂
