This is what God has been teaching me.

Where we live on the mountain you can hear the river below. As I was listening to it God put this image into my mind.

God is like a river that is always flowing, you can always hear his voice but only if you choose to tune out the roosters and dogs barking and distractions in life. Water flows from above to below. It does not matter how low you are He is coming for you. A river brings life it sustains you. A river smooths off the sharp edges and cleans off the dirt. Once you are in the river and the river is in you; He will take you deeper into His love. If you follow a river long enough it gets bigger and eventually it will turn into the ocean. We are on a journey with God where every day He is taking us deeper into His love. Sometimes, God makes a storm to throw us overboard so, we can go deeper with Him. And other times He calms the storm so, we can focus our eyes on Him.

Gods outflow in us is when we cry. He is with us in are most joy filled moments, when we laugh so hard we cry. He is with us when we are crying because our physical pain is so bad. And He is with us when our hearts are broken, our dreams crushed, and loved ones lost. He is there! His outflowing Love and Grace is right there on your face.
So, will you go down to the river to pray? Does God get every inch of you to smooth and clean. Or does He only have an edge of you the rest of the corners you think are unseen?

And when you think you are no where near the river look above there is a cloud guiding you. And when you are not following Him, He will make it rain just as a reminder of His amazing Grace.

So, listen to the river, follow the cloud, or pour a glass of water on your face, it doesn’t matter just do not forget His never ending love for you; His never ceasing pursuit of you. And that He is with you Always and will never leave you.
